Alone 3D Remaster

Description

This project was one that I came up with on my own. I was listening to one of my favourite songs, Alone by Marshmello, and I looked at the pixelated cover and then the idea hit me like a semi truck. I should see if I can remake the song cover in 3D? I thought to myself.

After some planning and finding assets, I tried my hardest to remake the cover exactly how it is using 3D models. Overall, I am happy with the turnout and think I still captured the feel of the original cover. You can see images below of the original pixelated image and my 3D remakes.

The Plan

My approach involved using Cinema 4D for all the 3D work, with the final render edited in Photoshop to refine colors and correct any small imperfections.

I began by creating the landscape and sky, and then moved on to designing the trees, head, bushes, and other assets. Once I had rendered some frames, I selected the best one and imported it into Photoshop. There, I fine tuned the color, size, saturation, and other photo elements to achieve maximum accuracy.

Software

To create the final image, I utilized both Cinema 4D and Photoshop, with Cinema 4D handling all of the 3D elements of the scene while Photoshop was used for the finishing touches.
